GARY B. SHULMAN Mr. Shulman is a partner in Levun, Goodman & Cohen, LLP and has been practicing law since 1980. Mr. Shulman's practice is primarily in the areas of real estate, corporate law and litigation, having represented both individuals and entities in courtrooms through his years of practice as an attorney for both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Shulman has been admitted to the United States Tax Court and has participated in numerous alternative dispute resolutions (ADR) and has served as an arbitrator in Cook County, Illinois for court cases assigned to Mandatory Arbitration. Mr. Shulman also has an Illinois Real Estate Broker's License, which is helpful in a real estate practice comprised of complex commercial and mortgage transactions, commercial leasing, like-kind exchanges, and, in addition, residential sales and leasing. A related component of commercial real estate transactions is sometimes the purchase and sale of a business. Mr. Shulman has represented numerous sellers and purchasers of businesses involving both stock and asset purchases. Mr. Shulman has been a frequent speaker at Chicago Bar Association seminars on commercial real estate for practicing attorneys and has also conducted seminars for real estate brokers and sales persons in the Chicagoland area. Mr. Shulman received a BA with Honors from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1976 and JD with Distinction from The John Marshall Law School in 1980.
