Mr. Goodman, one of the founders of Levun, Goodman & Cohen, LLP and of senior counsel, has been practicing law since 1967. Mr. Goodman advises corporations, non-profit organizations, partnerships and individuals regarding all facets of federal tax law. He has extensive experience in connection with the organization, reorganization and other transactional matters of corporations, partnerships and other types of business entities, designed to achieve particular tax and non-tax objectives.
Mr. Goodman also counsels individuals concerning estate and gift tax planning and family business planning, and he advises individual and corporate trustees and executors concerning the administration of trusts and estates, including contested issues.
Additionally, Mr. Goodman provides services to clients with respect to employee benefit issues, including the design, preparation and qualification of tax-qualified retirement plans, as well as the ongoing work necessary to ensure continuing compliance with the tax qualification requirements of federal tax law. He counsels business entities and individuals in executive compensation matters, including non-qualified deferred compensation programs, various incentive arrangements and other non-qualified arrangements.
Mr. Goodman also represents clients in Internal Revenue Service audits, administrative appeals and other judicial proceedings.
